In the busy-ness of life, it’s easy to move through the day on autopilot, rushing from one task to the next, our minds often elsewhere.

But life isn’t happening yesterday or tomorrow - it’s happening right now.

Being present means fully engaging with this moment, tuning into the here and now with awareness and intention.

One way to do this is by finding stillness. That might mean sitting quietly for a minute, taking a deep breath, or just slowing down.

In that quiet, we can feel more calm and clear. It gives us space to really notice what’s going on around us - and inside us too.

We can also be more present by using all our senses.

Look at the colours around you, listen to the sounds you hear, feel the ground under your feet or the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Tuning into your senses helps bring you back to the moment.

Being present is something we can practice every day. The more we do it, the more we enjoy the little things in life.

And often, those little things are the ones that matter most.

Try it today.
